'Jersey Boys' to close May 22

"Jersey Boys" is about to say "bye, bye baby."
The musical about '60s hitmakers Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons will take its final bow May 22 at the New World Stages theater. "Jersey Boys," which had an 11-plus-year run on Broadway from November 2005 to January 2017, moved to the Off-Broadway's New World Stages in November 2017. In January, the production celebrated its 1,000th performance at the venue.
"Jersey Boys," which ranks 12th among the longest-running Broadway shows of all time, deals with the ups and downs of the four-man group and includes all of their popular songs including "Sherry," "Walk Like a Man," "Dawn" and "Beggin'." In 2006, the show won four Tony Awards including best musical.
Productions of "Jersey Boys" are continuing worldwide, including one on London's West End as well as tours throughout the United States and the United Kingdom.
