Broadway will be moving to a K-pop beat this fall.

The new musical "KPOP," a celebration of the Korean pop music genre, will begin previews at the Circle in the Square Theatre on Oct. 13 and open on Nov. 20, the show's producers announced Wednesday.

Heading the cast will be pop star Luna, who has had a successful career in Korea first as a member of the K-pop group f(x) and as a solo artist. In addition, she has appeared in Korean productions of the musicals "In the Heights" and "Mamma Mia!"

“The driving force of this production of 'KPOP' has always been to fuse the vibrant, joyful and wildly entertaining world of K-POP with the powerful storytelling of a Broadway musical," said producers Tim Forbes and Joey Parnes in a joint statement. "The result is something that no one has ever seen before on stage, complete with epic production values, catchy songs, passion, and heart."

Complete casting for "KPOP" is expected to be announced soon.
