"Law & Order: SVU" star Mariska Hargitay is about to tackle a new beat — Broadway.

The 62-year-old Emmy Award winner, who's starred as Det. Olivia Benson on the hit NBC crime drama since 1999, will make her Broadway debut in the one-person show "Every Brilliant Thing" from May 26 through June 28, producers announced Monday.

Hargitay will replace Daniel Radcliffe, who will remain in the play at the Hudson Theatre through May 24. Tickets are on sale now.

"Every Brilliant Thing," which centers on a child who makes a list of every brilliant thing in the world to cheer up his suicidal mom, opened March 12 to mostly enthusiastic reviews. The play was written by Duncan Macmillan with Jonny Donahoe. Jeremy Herrin and Macmillan direct.

"I read 'Every Brilliant Thing' and cried, rejoiced, laughed, cried some more, and loved it so much," Hargitay said in a statement. "I’m always drawn to themes of healing and renewal, especially when the journey is rendered in all its complexity. It feels like an extraordinary gift to make my Broadway debut, the fulfillment of a lifelong dream, with a play that affirms life so emphatically. For me, the triumph of this beautiful piece of work — this luminously brilliant thing — is that through a deeply personal story, we experience the universal endeavor of keeping ourselves pointed toward light, compassion and hope."

Though best known for her TV work, Hargitay made her directorial debut last year with the documentary "My Mom Jayne," which explored the life and career of her mother, movie star Jayne Mansfield, who died when Hargitay was 3 years old.
