There's trouble in "Paradise" on Broadway.

On Monday, producers announced that performances of the new musical "Paradise Square" have been canceled through Saturday due to some members of the company testing positive for COVID-19. The show, which opened April 3, had to temporarily shut down on Thursday after positive coronavirus cases among the cast were first reported.

“After previously announcing that performances would resume on Tuesday, April 12, the original new Broadway musical 'Paradise Square' will definitely resume performances on Saturday, April 16, with performances at 2:00 and 8:00 p.m. at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre,” the production said in a statement.

"Paradise Square" is one of several Broadway shows impacted by COVID-19 over the past two weeks. "Macbeth," starring Daniel Craig and Ruth Negga, halted previews after Craig tested positive on April 3. Likewise, the new drama "A Strange Loop" had to cancel Monday's performances because of actors testing positive. Both shows are expected to resume on Tuesday.

In addition, the revival of Neil Simon's "Plaza Suite" starring Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker also halted performances on Sunday while Broderick recovers from the coronavirus. Parker also tested positive for COVID-19 last week. Producers have not said when the show will reopen.
