THE SHOW "The King and I"

THE DEAL Following online reports that Ruthie Ann Miles, who won a Tony Award for her performance in Lincoln Center Theater’s revival of “The King and I” in 2015, would return to the musical when it plays London this summer, the show’s producers have issued a statement that no decision has been made regarding her participation, Broadway World reported. In March, Miles and her 4-year-old daughter, Abigail, were struck by a motor vehicle in Brooklyn, causing Abigail’s death. Last month, Miles, who was pregnant at the time of the accident, lost her unborn child.

THE SHOW "Avenue Q"

THE DEAL Original and replacement cast members of the long-running, foul-mouthed, puppet musical comedy will come together July 30 for a reunion concert at Feinstein’s/54 Below. In summer 2003, “Avenue Q” opened Off-Broadway to raves, quickly transferred to Broadway and went on to win the Tony Award for best musical over “Wicked.” “Avenue Q” is still running in New York City, having returned Off-Broadway following its final Broadway performance in 2009.

THE SHOW "Singin' in the Rain"

THE DEAL Don't expect "Rain" to let up anytime soon at the John W. Engeman Theater in Northport. The hit spoof of 1920s Hollywood has been extended for another week and will now play its final show on July 8. Seven performances have been added for the musical, which is based on the classic 1952 film starring Gene Kelly, Debbie Reynolds and Donald O'Connor. THE SHOW "My Life on a Diet"

THE DEAL Renée Taylor, best-known for playing Fran Drescher’s mother on the sitcom “The Nanny,” will perform her one-woman autobiographical comedy at Off-Broadway’s Theatre at St. Clement’s for six weeks beginning July 12. In the show, written by Taylor and her husband, Joseph Bologna, who died last year, she will discuss her stage and screen work and her eating habits, including weight loss tips from Hollywood greats. Taylor and Bologna appeared together on Broadway in “It Had to Be You” and “If You Ever Leave Me…I’m Going With You!"
