They're calling it the Fire Island "Cheers."
Only months after the finale of Tina Fey's hit NBC comedy, "30 Rock," she is back in business with the show's co-executive producer Robert Carlock to create another "female-centered workplace project... in the vein of 'Cheers,'" and based on Fire Island, according to Deadline.com.
The industry site reports NBC has bought the as-yet-untitled comedy from "30 Rock" writer-producer Colleen McGuiness, to be executive-produced by Fey, McGuiness and Carlock. Its plot will focus on a young woman who finds a new home and family on Fire Island as she seeks to reconnect with her father, Deadline reports.
No word so far on a premiere date or whether the show will film on location on Fire Island.
