To be filed under "The Last Thing You Thought '30 Rock' would have to Worry About": Kim Jong Il.

The North Korean leader, who died Saturday, will also figure prominently in the NBC show's sixth season, which begins Jan. 12.

The question now is how?

As the fifth season wrapped, Jack Donaghy's (Alec Baldwin) beloved and slightly unbalanced wife, Avery Jessup (Elizabeth Banks), was kidnapped by Kim to be his high-powered publicist and possible love interest. A new promo for season 6 of the sitcom that aired last week showed Kim (played by comedian Margaret Cho) very much alive and posing for anti-American-themed holiday cards with Avery. And Baldwin even addressed the Kim story line in the new season trailer suggesting that there are several ways the Kim/Avery/Jack "love" triangle will be developed for the new season.

Banks felt the need to weigh in on Twitter. "Appreciate all the concern over Avery Jessup's fate now that Kim Jong Il has died. We're at a pivotal moment in history," she tweeted.

NBC Wednesday declined to comment.
