A heavenly performance from Casey James

Everyone remembers Casey James as the auditioner who was asked to remove his shirt. So how appropriate that tonight he sang Bryan Adams’ “Heaven,” from a movie about a male stripper. But to the shirtless one’s credit, he sang the hell out of “Heaven” and delivered the best performance of the night.

Kara, whom Simon referred to as a “cougar,” said Casey is “not only eye candy, but you’re ear candy.” Randy like his voice and his swagger, and Simon praised Casey for choosing the right song and being “honest, sincere and likeable.” He also called it Casey’s finest performance.
