'American Idol' group night goes high school

"American Idol" divided the surviving 168 contestants into groups on my favorite night of the show -- some of the ones who advanced after day 1 formed groups early, but they find out all groups have to be mixed, which sets off a furious scramble.

Tiffany Rios, who nobody likes because of her caustic comments about how great she is, can't find a group. 

Scotty McCreery is looking for a group too, she tries to suck him in, he resists, telling the camera after "she's crazy." He winds up having to audition for another group, gets rejected. Then can't find anyone, even after Tiffany steals a "pretty" girl off another group to form what they should call Ego Duo. 

It's hilarious, like high school in high speed.
