'American Idol' premiere: Jennifer Lopez gushes, Steven Tyler swears
The oddball "American Idol" judging panel premiered with a bang, with the usual overblown Fox production focusing entirely on Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler at the start of the show -- contestants who?!
Lopez says she'll be "compassionate," Tyler is bleeped a few times as he swears, and Randy Jackson says he's glad to hang out with a panel he calls "wow" and "hot."
Not even 10 minutes in and I know I'm going to hate the crass, spacey Tyler all season long.
They first show the auditions from New Jersey. Oh, man. I think Snookie's got a second home on this show if she ever tires of MTV.
