"American Idol's" Devin Velez, Burnell Taylor, Lazaro Arbos seem bound for the bottom 3

From the Four Tops to the bottom 3 will likely be the fate for Lazaro Arbos, Burnell Taylor and Devin Velez on tonight’s “American Idol” results show if our “Idol” psychics are correct.

The trio’s disastrous performance of the Tops’ “Can’t Help Myself” on last night’s Motown/Detroit-themed episode pleased no one, especially judge Nicki Minaj who wasn’t calling any of them “Sugar pie, honeybunch.”

“I don’t know what that was, but I’m going to act like I didn’t even see it or hear it!” she snapped before ordering them off the stage. The situation then hit a William Hung-sized sour note when Taylor and Velez started trying to defend themselves by shifting the blame on the other group members. It finished with Arbos again trotting out his “I just learned the song” excuse for why he forgot the lyrics.

Five of our eight psychics expect Velez, who’s made a habit of singing his songs partly in Spanish, to say “Adios” tonight thanks to the group performance and his earlier unmiraculous rendition of The Miracles’ “Tracks of My Tears.” Three others expect Taylor to be ousted (his bizarre interpretation of Stevie Wonder’s “My Cherie Amour” didn’t help matters). Arbos, who did a less than Stevie Wonder-ful take on “For Once in My Life,” earned one psychic’s vote as the one who’ll be leaving tonight.
