Archie Panjabi to exit 'The Good Wife'

Archie Panjabi, who has appeared on 118 episodes of “The Good Wife” and in the process helped establish commercial broadcast TV's most prestigious drama, will leave the series by the end of this season, the showrunners have announced.
The news first broke in The Hollywood Reporter, since confirmed by Deadline, which secured this statement:
“Archie is an amazing actress who helped build Kalinda from the ground up as an enigmatic, powerful, and sexy character,” said creators and show-runners Robert and Michelle King. “It’s been a pleasure to write for her, and we’ll be sad to see her go; but we still have her for the rest of Season 6, so let’s not exhaust our good-byes yet.”
The Reporter says “Kallnda" -- and she will forever be known, I suppose, as Kalinda, the treacherous, shrewd, scary, devious, smart, add-your-own-favorite-Kalinda-adjective-here — has a development/talent deal with 20th Century Fox TV, which means someone somewhere must have a show vehicle ready to launch her in ...
Panjabi will also appear in that Carlton Cuse-written movie, “San Andreas,” arriving next year ...
And — yes — Panjabi did win an Emmy for best supporting actress on “Wife” in 2010.
