Austin Paul sets himself up for a beating on 'American Idol'
Long snapper Austin Paul, who plays football for the University of Colorado and actually says his other teammates are jealous because he doesn't have to do that much. Wow, what a dumb thing to say.
He's totally annoying, right from the get-go, likes himself waaaaaay too much.
Sings "Bigger Than My Body" in an affected way, Kara says "you come off a bit cocky," Simon says, "you could be very annoying." Randy shoots him down, Kara says no too, you "need to be a little less confident." He protests that he's a great story, but out he goes.
Hah, so happy we won't see him anymore -- he better watch out next season in the Big 12, guy's gonna get beat up.
Kenny Evert loudly shouts out some Mary J. Blige, taking off his outer shirt at the start. They shoot him down, he says, "you gotta be kidding me, I'm a great singer," then loudly starts singing again. "Go, go, go, go, go ..."
*Austin Paul, it turns out, has a Web site, complete with ellipsed quotes from his coach and articles about how great he is. It has to be seen to be believed.
