Reports: 'Beverly Hills 90210' revival in works with original cast

Is "Beverly Hills, 90210" coming back?

TMZ.com last week photographed actors Jennie Garth, Brian Austin Green, Jason Priestley, Tori Spelling and Ian Ziering having coffee together in Los Angeles, and said those stars of the 1990-2000 Fox high-school drama were meeting with writers, producers and the streaming services Amazon, Hulu and Netflix about reviving the series.

Deadline.com, which added that fellow star Gabrielle Carteris also is involved, said CBS TV Studios was onboard for what the site called "not a traditional reboot." "Entertainment Tonight" further said that according to industry sources, the actors were not reprising their old roles. It was unclear if fellow original stars Luke Perry, now on The CW's "Riverdale," and Shannen Doherty are participating.  

Spelling in March had posted a selfie from CBS Studio Center with the cryptic message "#back2work great creative day yesterday with my #partnerincrime @jenniegarth #90210vibes #donnaandkellyforver #besties." Spelling and Garth had played Donna Martin and Kelly Taylor, respectively, on the Darren Star-created series. The show already spun off the 2008-2013 series "90210," a later-generation series with some of the original stars making occasional appearances, as well as “Melrose Place” and other programs.
