ABC conjuring up a reboot of 'Bewitched'

"Bewitched" is coming back for another spell.
The 1964-1972 ABC comedy of a beautiful young witch trying to live a quiet suburban life with her husband is being rebooted by "Black-ish" creator Kenya Barris and series writer-producer Yamara Taylor for an ABC pilot, reported Deadline.com.
The new interracial version posits Samantha, originally played by Elizabeth Montgomery, as an African-American single mom who marries Darrin, originally played successively by Dick York and Dick Sargent, as a likable slacker enjoying white privilege.
The original show, Emmy-nominated four times for outstanding comedy series, featured an assortment of veteran character actors, including Agnes Moorehead as Samantha's meddlesome mother, Endora; Marion Lorne as bumbling Aunt Clara; Paul Lynde as practical-joking Uncle Arthur, and Shakespearean actor Maurice Evans as Samantha's father.
The series was adapted as an ill-received 2005 movie comedy by director and co-writer Nora Ephron, starring Nicole Kidman and Will Ferrell.
