Bobby Brown 'Today' interview not about contrition, but regret

Bobby Brown was shellacked in the court of public opinion even before his "Today" interview aired this morning, with a general sense that the former husband of Whitney Houston was either rewriting his personal history or fabricating it — at Houston's expense. The pull-quote from Monday's transcript was a big, if brief, one — "I'm not the reason she's gone," but on some level some fans beg to differ. Best, perhaps, however to see the full interview and context of the question. Matt Lauer doesn't really press him or follow up with obvious questions — namely Brown's history before during or after the marriage — and so label this ride a "free one," especially since Houston isn't around to contradict him .?.?.
