Brielle Von Hugel blooms on 'American Idol'

Brielle Von Hugel, from Staten Island with a flower in her hair, is up next on "American Idol." She's dedicating her audition to her dad, who had throat cancer and used to sing doo wop. Wow. Great story; seems like a nice family. These are the best parts of this show.

Singing "Endless Love," drawing it out slowly and powerfully. She's off-key a bit, but is cute, passionate and has a good story so will get through.

Steven Tyler says love your smile and attitude, loves her voice, too. They bring her dad in, a nice little moment. 

Jennifer Lopez says you "have a tiny bit of work to do," Randy injects reality and says "you definitely have some work to do, but you really have potential."

"Fun and honest and open" is how Tyler fittingly sums it up.
