Bruce Jenner reality show put on hold, report says

Plans for an E! reality show chronicling Bruce Jenner's transition to womanhood have been postponed indefinitely.
Variety said Wednesday it had confirmed that the project was being suspended. While E! had not acknowledged the existence of a series, and no title or premiere date have been reported, the trade magazine said in January that the development process had progressed far enough that the head of publicity for E! was planning to meet with the LGBT-advocacy group GLAAD to discuss the handling of the former Olympics champion's transition.
Jenner, 65, had been set to meet with E! executives early last month, Variety said, but the status of that meeting became unclear after he was involved in a multicar collision in Malibu that left another driver dead.
While Jenner -- who won the gold medal in the decathlon at the 1976 Summer Olympics and went on to become a sports commentator, motivational speaker, product endorser and infomercial entrepreneur -- has not spoken publicly about his transition, his mother, 88-year-old Esther Jenner, confirmed it to The Associated Press last month. "I never thought I could be more proud of Bruce when he reached his goal in 1976," she said, "but I'm more proud of him now. It takes a lot of courage to do what he's doing."
Us Weekly reported in January that a series already was filming, saying Jenner and stepdaughter Khloé Kardashian, 30, were shooting at Pismo Beach, California.
Jenner, soon-to-be the former husband of Kardashian-clan matriarch Kris Jenner, 59, has been featured in the long-running E! reality show "Keeping Up With the Kardashians."
