Caitlyn Jenner show, 'I Am Cait': An important series
The E! docuseries that will chronicle the tranformation of the former Bruce Jenner into Caitlyn Jenner now has a name: "I Am Cait." Jenner revealed her new name as Caitlyn in the Vanity Fair cover and story released Monday.
And it also has a trailer, which you can see at Eonline.com.
What to say about this trailer and this series? Obviously, first impressions count a great deal, and this is your chance to make them, but mine is that this looks good, or at least promising...
E! and Jenner -- who could not convince her children from her first two marriages to participate -- simply know that this is the most important series either party will ever do, and add to that Bunim/Murray, which is also producing. Bunim/Murray has certainly done its fair share of trash (including "Keeping Up with the Kardashians"), but the company knows this can't join that list.
In addition, B/M has assembled a distinguished group of consultants and has enlisted support from GLAAD; this program will reflect on those consultants -- most notably Jennifer Finney Boylan.
The eight-parter arrives July 26.
