Carrie Underwood her usual self on 'American Idol'
Carrie Underwood returns to "American Idol" singing "Undo It" to huge cheers. I didn't like her on the show and still feel like she's a bit too self-righteous but she's usually fun to listen to.
It's like she's a local TV news anchor hitting the big-time. Everything is telegraphed and over-performed, but that's part of the appeal of country music, I guess.
She can be a bit shrill at times, and the angry face gets old, but not bad.
Then there's an ad for that car, Subaru or whatever, where Kris Allen gives a dutiful Lee DeWyze and Crystal Bowersox their own cars. It's like they're reading lines, even though it's supposed to be a surprise.
