Casey James smilingly butchers Frank Sinatra on 'American Idol'
Casey James is all cleaned up in a vest and purple shirt, singing "Blue Skies" next on "American Idol." Nice earnest start with a good tone; if this guy ever got it together, he'd be one of the favorites.
Having fun with the audience; big smile. Singing a bit too deliberately for me though, like he's sounding out the words. And just butchers the ending; I don't know, the more it went on the less I liked it, the swing was gone, just plodded and telegraphed.
Randy says "your worst performance," pitchy all the way through, Ellen thought it was stiff. Kara says "you sounded like a lamb" with his vibrato. Simon says it seemed like you were a bit embarrassed or awkward.
