THE CAT IN THE HAT KNOWS A LOT ABOUT THAT! (Weekdays at 9 a.m., WNET/13; 11 a.m. on WLIW/21, already on)

Voiced by Martin Short, PBS' major new preschool show is based on Dr. Seuss' book, with a focus on learning, particularly the natural sciences.

PAIR OF KINGS (Wednesdays at 8 p.m., Disney XD)

Live-action comedy about 16-year-old twins raised by their aunt and uncle in Chicago, who must move to the curious island of Kinkou.

FISH HOOKS (Fridays at 9 p.m., Disney Channel)

Animated comedy series about three fishy friends who go to Freshwater High - a school in a fish tank at a pet store. Lots of teen issues explored.

T.U.F.F PUPPY (Saturdays at 11 a.m., starting Oct. 2, Nickelodeon)

About the adventures of Dudley Puppy - voiced by "iCarly's" Jerry Trainor - who's a sweet dim pup recruited to become a spy.

PLANET SHEEN (Saturdays at 11:30 a.m., starting Oct. 2, Nickelodeon)

Sheen Guevera Estevez from "The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius," gets his own series. Sheen borrows a rocket and gets stranded on a strange planet.

SHAKE IT UP (November, Disney Channel)

Liveaction comedy about a pair of friends, CeCe Jones (Bella Thorne) and Raquel "Rocky" Blue (Zendaya), who become background dancers on a popular local dance show in Chicago.
