CBS buys WLNY/55

CBS just announced that it has purchased WLNY/55 in Melville, creating a duopoly in New York and for Long Islanders a huge new news presence in their/our backyard.
Here's the statement from Peter Dunn, president of CBS' owned stations division:
Many questions in this big transaction, of course: Will the expanded news presence focus more on Long Island or replicate what WCBS/2 already does? Fox's WOR duopoly does seems to have a larger New Jersey presence but it still covers the broader New York region too. Also: How much will the programming change? Will the call letters change? (They stand for We Love New York.) Will CBS simulcast certain programs...like the new "CBS This Morning," which launches early in the new year?
