Cheryl Cole to 'X Factor'

Finally, official: Cheryl Cole has been named the third judge of "The X Factor." One to go and that'll probably be Paula. 

Cole's a huge star in the U.K. -- she's sort of an obsession over there, apparently, as  a stylista, pop singer (Girls Aloud), "Factor" judge and even felon. She was convicted of assault after a violent altercation at some nightclub where she got in a fight with a toilet attendant, and was also accused of using racial slurs. That was considered a bit weird considering she had married superstar soccer player, Ashley Cole (who is black). They've since divorced.
