CNN's Roland Martin suspended for tweets
Roland Martin, veteran CNN analyst, was suspended by the network for tweeting what the network said were comments "inconsistent with the values and culture" of the company.
The news, in fact, broke via The Washington Post. Columnist Erik Wemple chided him in a column for making homophobic comments; CNN agreed.
“Roland Martin’s tweets were regrettable and offensive. Language that demeans is inconsistent with the values and culture of our organization, and is not tolerated. We have been giving careful consideration to this matter, and Roland will not be appearing on our air for the time being.”
