Colton Dixon is up first as "American Idol" finalists perform songs from their icons. Dixon sings Lifehouse's "Everything" and says it's his favorite worship song.

He's passionate and starts slow and controlled, but it just doesn't do anything for me. The chorus is more interesting, but it's not a very good song, which limits how much of an impact he can make. He ends the song on his knees.

Steven Tyler says "you have perfect pitch, and you've got that star quality." Jennifer Lopez says "I was really moved," Randy Jackson says "I believe you in every song you choose... that performance was unbelievable."

They're just making their comments up out of nothing -- there's no way that performance was anywhere near unbelievable.

These are the instances when you really miss Simon Cowell, who would've said what he thought instead of just talking in generalities.
