Country girl Skylar Laine corrals a place in the semifinals

Country girl Skylar Laine, one of many contestants who needed help from paramedics during Hollywod week, rallied by the time she was ready for her solo performance. Laine, whom the judges have been calling a young Reba, sang Reba McEntire’s “Fancy” and wowed the judges for a spot in the top 24.

Hallie Day, Chase Likens and another returnee from last year Aaron Marcellus also get the good news that they’ve been picked.
