  Well, let's rephrase: Morgan Freeman's voice replaces Walter Cronkite's on "The Evening News."

  AP has the official word. Says CBS News/Sports chief Sean McManus, "This seemed like the appropriate time since Walter's passing to make the move." 

  Stars doing the news? No big deal whatsoever...remember when Michael Douglas opened for "Nightly News with Brian Williams?" (I don't believe he voices any longer but will check.)

  Is this a big deal? Only symbolically - that the show which Cronkite graced for so many years will shed the last shadow of his presence.  And that's the way it is.
