David Leathers steals the show as Shannan MacGrane, Jessica Phillips also advance on 'American Idol'

Shannan MacGrane, whose dad is a former baseball star, next up on "American Idol" singing Alicia Key's "Fallen" -- throaty and well-performed.

17-year-old David Leathers, the "ladies man" to quote Ryan Seacrest who looks like he's 12, comes out with a fantastic, on-pitch rendition of Celine Dion's "Because You Loved Me" -- audience applauds, he's totally got charisma.

Jessica Phillips, whose boyfriend recently had a stroke, doing Whitney Houston's "All the Man That I Need." I mean, it's so hard to do Whitney on this show, but she's got an interesting voice that keeps us listening, and gets a "beautiful!" from Steven Tyler.

They're all through. Leathers gets some kisses from a bevy of women gathered around him at the end.
