Demi Lovato nothing special performing on 'American Idol'

Demi Lovato is performing "Give Your Heart a Break" on "American Idol," complete with lots of flipping of her hair.

I wonder if she competed on the show how she'd do; voice is nothing to write home about, and she isn't some fantastic performer. The women are really strong this year; I think she'd just be another face in the crowd, not a standout like Jessica Sanchez or Joshua Ledet.

Big smile at the end from Lovato; crowd gives her a standing ovation as she mouths, "I love you."
