"Downton Abbey" was seen by 111.3 million viewers Sunday...umm, no wait. Sorry: That was the Super Bowl figure. "Downton Abbey" - that glorious Edwardian hit? Four million.
With great pride, seasoned with a bit of irony, PBS just announced the ratings, noting that in fact, while "Downton's" paled, it was good enough for second. (By the way, the network shows were in repeat, naturally.)
Here are the numbers for the 9 o'clock hour; first one is a rating, second a share; and, indeed, "Downton" was seen by 4 million.
9:00 PM NBC The Super Bowl 51.8 /71
9:00 PM PBS MASTERPIECE “Downton Abbey” 2.6 /4
