Eddie Murphy does Bill Cosby joke during first stand-up in decades

Eddie Murphy did his first stand-up routine in decades Sunday night at the Mark Twain Prize ceremony, and the punchline -- and punch -- was saved for Bill Cosby. 

In receiving the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor -- which Cosby himself was awarded in 2009 -- Murphy on Sunday marked the occasion with a famous impersonation (Cosby), putdown (Cosby) and reminder (Cosby) that the embattled comedian's awards elsewhere have been stripped.

Murphy -- as a Washington Post story from the Kennedy Center reminded -- hasn't done a standup routine in public in 23 years, and he also declined to do a Cosby joke/impression at the 40th annual "Saturday Night Live" bash in February.
