Elise Testone, Jermaine Jones in bottom group on 'American Idol'

Jessica Sanchez, Elise Testone and Hollie Cavanagh are the initial group up to learn their fate as "American Idol" cuts the first of its 13 finalists tonight. They're deviating from tradition and doing a bottom three women and a bottom three guys, instead of the usual bottom three overall.

Obviously for this group, Testone is going to be the one to wind up in the bottom three.

Sanchez and her ridiculous high heels are the first to safety, and so is Cavanagh. Testone is indeed the first contestant of the night to land in the bottom three for the women.

Heejun Han, Colton Dixon and Jermaine Jones are next up for the guys; I think it'll be Jones in the bottom three. He doesn't have much fan support since the judges had to save him as a wild card.

Mentor Jimmy Iovine says he likes Han's voice and its tone, but he can't sing everything so they'll have to work with him to find songs that are in his sweet spot. He's dead right about that

Dixon is first to safety, and then Han, so it's indeed Jones who's the first of the night in the bottom three for the guys.
