What were the most-buzzed-about shows at the recent TV critics' press tour? Here's the top 10, in order of (ummm) buzziness.

1. AMERICAN HORROR STORY (FX) -- This new show from "Glee's" Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk had nice, creepy, opening credits, and critics were still feeling the Connie Britton love after "Friday Night Lights" (she co-stars here as Dylan McDermott's wife).

2. SUBURGATORY (ABC) -- With a title this ugly, the show's gotta be good, right? Great cast -- including Jeremy Sisto and Cheryl Hines -- sold this package. (By the way, it's about a divorced dad who moves his teenage daughter from the city to the 'burbs.)

3. PRIME SUSPECT (NBC) -- This remake of the Helen Mirren classic stars Maria Bello, and is getting some respect.

4. PAN AM (ABC) -- Great-looking period piece; nostalgia sells.

5. A GIFTED MAN (CBS) -- All the network's dramas look solid, but casting here -- Patrick Wilson as a coldhearted surgeon, Jennifer Ehle as his late ex-wife -- is best of all.

6. 2 BROKE GIRLS (CBS) -- Sizzling pilot with Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs, from Michael Patrick King ("Sex and the City") got a good reception.

7. TERRA NOVA (Fox) -- Could go higher on this list, but critical reception to the dinosaur-era drama wasn't wildly enthusiastic, which is not to say the tough crowd wasn't awestruck by the technical demands here.

8. HOMELAND (Showtime) -- Damian Lewis as a Marine POW who returns home; has "Manchurian Candidate" written all over it.

9. RINGER (CW) -- Three words -- Sarah. Michelle. Gellar.

10. GRIMM (NBC) -- Funky sci-fi drama based loosely on the Grimm Brothers' fairy tales is the dark horse of the season. Could be a winner.
