'Family Guy' dog Brian killed off in series
The Griffin's erudite dog Brian, left, died in a hit-and-run accident Sunday on the Fox animated series "Family Guy." He had been with the show since its inception in 1999. While a Change.org petition to bring him back had garnered over 6,000 signatures by yesterday afternoon, executive producer Steve Callaghan told E! that "our fans are smart enough and have been loyal to our show for long enough to know that they can trust us. We always make choices that always work to the greatest benefit of the series." Actor Tony Sirico of "The Sopranos" voices Vinny, the new Griffin family dog.
