'Flawless' Scotty McCreery may have wrapped up 'American Idol'

Scotty McCreery is doing "You've Got a Friend" next on "American Idol." It's a great song so let's see how he does it. 

Starts out slow and sultry, voice cracks a bit. His fans are gonna love this; It's super-cheesy, but he seems so sincere and natural, it's enjoyable.

His timing is really good. The song is unspooling perfectly. There's no rush here. It's by far his best performance of the season. has gotta do more like this. Sweet, mellow end; huge applause. Here's your next "American Idol".....

Randy Jackson calls the start "flawless. I was like, 'Oh my God.'" But he says he wants him to be more gentle coming off the high notes. Steven Tyler says "I don't think you ever sang better." He loved it. Jennifer Lopez says this is why we had to push you.
