'Friday Night Lights:' good night...

CONNIE BRITTON FOR "FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS
Not usually an auspicious sign when someone is nominated so deep into a show's run, but Britton is the real dark horse here, and could pull a surprise.

"Friday Night Lights" begins right about now, and wraps for good about an hour and change from now. Great series that fans kept alive, then NBC, and finally DirecTV. The finale will satisfy -- I think -- those loyal fans and give 'em fitting closure too. My review today, if you missed it in the paper.
