'Gentle giant' Jermaine Jones brought back by 'Idol' judges

Jermaine Jones gets brought back by the "American Idol" judges for a second chance, singing Luther Vandross' "Dance With My Father."

Oh, what a perfect song choice by the "gentle giant" -- he's heartfelt, tender and you can't stop listening. Powerful but controlled.

Sometimes it's just that easy; he didn't overthink, just went with a surefire audience pleaser. And sure enough, they're on their feet at the end.

"Very nice," says Randy Jackson, with Jennifer Lopez praising his "special voice and special spirit." 

"What a beautiful thing," adds Steven Tyler.
