Golden Globes: Yes, some howlers
Piper Perabo?
Piper Perabo?!
No "Lost?"
No "Lost?!"
No "Men of a Certain Age?" !
Well, OK! It must be Golden Globes time, and so it is. Announcements out a short while ago, and yes, Ms. Perabo scored a nom for "Covert Affairs." Good for her, but...umm...
I'm sorry, but I can't look at these lists - Golden Globe ones - without wondering which studio flack took which pliant member of the Foriegn Press Association to which expensive watering hole where said member got riotously, uproariously sloshed.
So be it.
The list with my quick snotty comments - and the ceremony is Jan. 16 (NBC) from the Beverly Hilton...

Bryan Cranston – Breaking Bad
Michael C. Hall – Dexter (SHOWTIME)
Jon Hamm – Mad Men (AMC)

SC: I guess they got this one mostly right, but I am growing weary of MC Hall - nothing wrong with him, but it's as if the members punch his ballot because that's what they think they're supposed to do.

SC: No "Curb Your Enthusiasm," no "The Office," no "Entourage" and "The Big C" doesn't really belong. Otherwise. obvious and safe. I actually think "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" has as much a right to belong here as any of these, maybe more so.
