"Good Afternoon America" — which begins its nine-week run at 2 p.m. (WABC/7) Monday — earlier today announced next week's lineup, and guests include: Liza Minnelli (Monday); stars of TV Land's "The Exes" (Tuesday); Anna Chlumsky (Wednesday); Blair Underwood (Thursday); and Wilson Phillips (Friday). This is an Interesting new show because it's an unusual extension of "GMA" — and yet only a placeholder until Katie Couric arrives. Will it succeed? If so, the future is even more interesting. "General Hospital" will continue to air for a year, but I've heard that ABC is actively seeking replacements for the day that it too goes away — whenever that day may come, if ever. Fans of course hope it never does. (By the way, networks are always looking at development.)
Here's a quick preview that I came across; show will be hosted by "GMA's" Josh Elliott and Lara Spencer.
