There's significant "Grey's Anatomy" news this morning, sports fans: Some of the core cast has re-upped for two more seasons, but a handful of others -- notably Sara Ramirez and Eric Dane -- were not mentioned in this prominent report.
As "GA" fans are aware, there could be a "death" of a beloved character on the May 17 finale, though no one ever expected that to be Ellen Pompeo or Patrick Dempsey. But any of the others? Sure, it's inconceivable "GA" or Shonda Rhimes, trigger happy though she is, would knock off Mark Sloan or Callie Torres. But who knows -- contract negs have a way of going sour, as you are all well aware.
Per Deadline, Pompeo, Dempsey, Sandra Oh, Justin Chambers,James Pickens Jr. and Chandra Wilson have each signed two-year deals; the post said the group renewal was a fait accompli. This means there will be ninth and 10th seasons.
These are the core characters, but questions will now circle around Dane, Ramirez, Kevin McKidd, Chyler Leigh and Jessica Capshaw.
