Hey Abbott! It's The 'Green Hornet'
OK, so we're really plumbing the depths of pop culture today, but we couldn't resist noticing that with the Seth Rogen's success as "The Green Hornet," props must be given to the actors who buzzed before him in the role.
In particular, we're thinking of Gordon Jones, who played the Green Hornet in the 1940s movie serials. He went on to be better known a decade later as the clueless Mike the Cop on "The Abbott and Costello Show," a buffoon in blue who was always threatening to "run in" Costello.
Here's Jones, first as "The Green Hornet" and then in a classic scene from "A&C"
