Hey, what IS 'The Event' about?

Hey, really, seriously, I want to know. What is "The Event" and why should I care? Bowed -- two hours worth of it -- last night, and I'm certain there are millions who want to know, too. Or at least thousands. Hulu's TV news show, "The Morning After," had what I believe the best seasonal re-cap of them all. Check it out -- about 4 or so minutes in. Keep an eye, by the way, on clever "Morning After."
