It's going to be a Jessica Sanchez-Phillip Phillips 'Idol' finale

Phillip Phillips got raves from Jimmy Iovine for two of his three Wednesday performances. Iovine praised Phillip for the risks he’s taken and his tenderness on “We’ve Got Tonight,” which he deemed the performance of the night.

And America agreed. After the commercial break, Jessica Sanchez was the first person announced as a finalist in next week’s show. And then Phillip also got the good news. A gracious — and unsurprised-looking — Joshua Ledet took the news that he won’t get a shot at the “Idol” crown next week. After his farewell journey video, he performed “This Is a Man’s World,” which wowed the judges last week, as the audience cheered and Jennifer Lopez wept.
