THE NEWS He has been cast as the title character in "Ray Donovan," an upcoming Showtime drama from "Southland" creator Ann Biderman. Schreiber's character is a Los Angeles "fixer" beset by family troubles. The series, executive-produced by Biderman, Mark Gordon and Bryan Zuriff, will begin shooting in Los Angeles early next year.
MORE Schreiber will next star in Mira Nair's thriller "The Reluctant Fundamentalist" with Kate Hudson and Kiefer Sutherland. The "Defiance" and "Manchurian Candidate" star will also appear with Jay Baruchel and Seann William Scott in the hockey comedy "Goon."

WHO Carrie Fisher, Carson Kressley and Emmanuelle Vaugier
THE NEWS The trio has been tapped to star in Hallmark Channel's "Caroling," a modern-day take on Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol." The movie will premiere during the 2012 holiday season.
THE DEAL The movie centers on Carol Huffman (Vaugier), one of Chicago's most successful book publishers and a ruthless businesswoman who has made no room in her life for personal relationships and whose staff hates her. Kressley plays a colleague who is secretly organizing a revolt against Carol, and Fisher plays the late founder of the publishing company, who takes Carol through an eye-opening journey of her past, present and future.
