Jacob Lusk sings Luther Vandross after he's voted off 'American Idol'

Jacob Lusk is up next on "American Idol." He joins Lauren Alaina in the danger group. Then Haley Reinhart. She'll be with James Durbin's group I think. And she is indeed.

Scotty McCreery last; does he join a group and make it the bottom or the top three? He joins Haley and James; they're all safe. Poor Lauren is crying.

And it's indeed Jacob who gets cut. Man, I so hope he sings "God Bless the Child" as his last song.... He got some mad praise this year; I really liked him, but he never got it together in the finals, didn't have consistency or really any breakout moments.

He does Luther Vandross, "House is Not a Home," it's a powerful performance that reminds us exactly what we're losing; crazy good, drawn-out ending.
