James Durbin goes high doing Journey on 'American Idol'

James Durbin kicks off "American Idol" with "Don't Stop Believin'" -- a perfect pick. His sweet, high voice gets us right into it. He's not going crazy with it, pretty much singing it straight.

Was hoping for goosebumps or something, and this isn't it. But it's well-sung and enjoyable. And a strong finish.

Steven Tyler gives him a tepid "nice going," Jennifer Lopez calls it "great" all around, Randy Jackson praises the song, Journey, his outfit, and gives him props for singing a difficult song.
