As long expected, Jeff Zucker will leave NBC when the Comcast deal is closed, he announced this morning, and confirmed in a long interview just posted at The New York Times website.
Zucker has been a pretty key figure at the network for nearly 25 years - loved by some, villified by others, with a set of real accomplishments and some glaring failures, too (most recently, Jay Leno).
He tells Bill Carter that his biggest "failure" was in not "moving fast enough" to fix prime-time entertainment.
