Big casting news from the land of TV remakes — Jerry O'Connell has been tapped by producer Bryan Fuller to play Herman Munster in NBC's “The Munsters.”
Clearly Fuller never saw “Piranha 3-D" -- but then who did?
Ba dum.
Sorry. Couldn't resist. O'Connell is, of course, terrific and is a big get for the show. Mariana Klaveno -- Lorena on “True Blood" -- will be Lilly. This kind of suggests that it will in fact get on the air one of these years. NBC and Fuller have been plugging away at this for a while, and the delay is a bit mystifying. Nevertheless, all good things come in time. A couple of clips, just for the heck of it.
