Jessica Phillips goes from caretaker to 'American Idol' contender
Brooklyn's Jessica Phillips, whose boyfriend suddenly had a massive stroke, closes out "American Idol" in Portland. She's now his caretaker, she says emotionally, helping him relearn how to speak, among other things.
"Honestly, I'd be nowhere without her," he says haltingly.
Doing Faith Evans' "Again," she has a big, diva voice and the attitude while she's performing. Comes across as sincere and joyful. "Wow, I like you," says Randy Jackson.
Her boyfriend's there to hug her and it's a nice moment.
